February 26th, 2026
6:00 p.m.

I’m very excited to host what I hope to be the first of an annual Community Seed Swap! Bring seeds you’ve saved from your own garden or surplus packets (please no older than 2 years) and trade for something new to try this season.

The Seed Starting skill share is an accessible, beginner-friendly introduction to starting plants from seed. Designed to remove barriers and build confidence, this class focuses on the basics you need to successfully grow seedlings at home using simple, affordable methods.

We’ll cover seed starting fundamentals including how to read seed packets, timing and growing zones, soil and container basics, light, water, and germination conditions. The goal is to share practical knowledge, answer questions, and create space for learning together.

This class is part of Garden Party’s ongoing commitment to community education and skill sharing. All experience levels are welcome, and no prior knowledge is required.

What to expect
• Free, in-person community class
• Clear instruction on seed starting basics
• Live discussion and Q&A
• Practical tips you can use right away

We’ll be raffling off some seed starting supplies! Raffle tickets will be available for purchase.

This skill share is perfect for first-time growers, curious beginners, and anyone wanting to learn alongside others in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
